Overview: This session will focus on Software and Information Security fundamentals, methods and vectors of identifying vulnerabilities and becoming an accomplished security professional, AKA hacker.

Mahesh Saptarshi, Director, cyberSecurist Technologies

His speciality is Software Security: encryption, threat analysis and security review, penetration testing, system hardening, infrastructure security. He has over 10 years of experience in software and information security, and overall 23 years of software industry experience. He has been a speaker at software security conferences, and a prolific coach in varied subjects in software and computer technology. He is the founder at cyberSecurist Technologies, a company specializing in software, IT and information security.
Ashwini Paranjpe, Principal Software Security Engineer, Symantec
Ashwini Paranjpe has overall 12.5 years of experience in the IT industry. She has a strong technical experience in the software security for Application, Web, Web service, Network and Cloud. She is an expert in delivering security training to product teams like “Security awareness”, “Secure coding in C/C++”, “Threat Modeling”, “Web Application security -OWASP top 10 attacks” and more. She interacts with software product teams to help enhance their application security posture and successfully roll out secure SDLC. She is well versed in security aspects around threat modeling, Cryptography, network protocol TCP/IP, HTTP , SSL/TLS, Secure code-review and penetration testing.
