Speaker Profiles

Sunita Mohanty, Director of Trust & Safety at Google India

Sunita Mohanty leads her team to protect end users from online threats, including fraud, abuse, low quality interactions and content on Google platforms & products, ensuring a safe and trustworthy experience. In addition to her current role, Sunita works closely with the Government of Telangana in creating a connected, digitized and sustainable ecosystem in the state. She also leads community outreach activities to create awareness around online safety and women empowerment across India. Sunita has more than 19 years of leadership experience in technology and innovation. Previously at Google, she led Publisher partnership for India. Before joining Google, she led Delivery and Technology consulting with Infosys, working across various geographies (US, APAC and Australia) and global teams. Prior to Infosys, she was with ICICI setting up the the Data warehouse infrastructure for their Retail Bank. Sunita has an engineering degree and an MBA in Marketing and Information Technology.

Anasuya Challa, Deputy Commissioner of Police – Admin and SHE TEAMS – Cyberabad
Anasuya Challa is the DCP Admin, SHE Teams and Women Protection Cell, Cyberabad. She earlier worked in Women Protection Cell, CID for three years, in the field of crime against women and children and headed Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, providing help to women facing domestic violence, exploitation and sexual harassment. Anasuya has conducted several training sessions in the areas of human trafficking and women related crimes, working for the protection of women in cases of domestic violence, dowry harassment, rape and other crimes against women. She has also prepared general guidelines for police (SOP) for investigation of crime against women, child missing cases and safe rescue of children from bonded/forced labor and trafficking. She is now working in Cyberabad Commissionerate since November, 2017 as DCP, ADMN and head of SHE Teams in Cyberabad. As head of SHE Teams, handled several cases of eve teasing, stalking, sexual harassment, blackmail etc. She is also the designated Head of the Women Protection Cell of Cyberabad.

Deepa Nittala, Certified Financial Planner & Consulting Advisor, Sree Mantrana Financial Services

Deepa Nittala is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM Professional with 19 years of experience. This includes 10+ years at Citibank, Branch Banking Services, five years as Retirement Planner at Principal Financial Group and now building her own brand as an entrepreneur. She currently manages 150+ families in their financial planning journey and is also a Consultant Financial Advisor with Sree Mantrana Financial Services LLP for their Financial Education Initiatives. A financial planner by profession and an Educator by passion, she has been recently awarded the “Unsung Hero Award” by CII – Indian Women’s Network, Telangana Region for Financial education initiatives.

Puja Parekh, VP Health & Benefits, Global Insurance Brokers

Puja Parekh holds a masters degree in Public Health Management from Columbia University New York as well as a bachelors in Human Biology from Kennesaw State University. She leads the Wellness practice at Global Insurance Brokers, consulting over 200 corporates on workplace wellness programs. She has authored several scholarly articles on Public Health in India, Workplace Wellness for the World Health Organisation and World Economic Forum, and has been the Indian contributor to the chapter on India in the Oxford Textbook of Public Health. She is a certified Workplace Wellness Specialist from Corporate Wellness Association of America. Puja is also a wellness enthusiast herself, regularly practicing yoga and meditation for the last 15 years. Her passion lies in promotive and preventive health through understanding global best practices in wellness, whilst also looking to ancient wisdom in vedic scriptures that offer a profound understanding of human wellbeing.

Nivedita Aggarwal, Director – Software Engineering, CA Technologies

Nivedita Aggarwal is Director, Software Engineering in the Automation team at CA Technologies (India). With more than 17 years of experience in the software industry, including 13+ years in various management roles, her responsibilities varied from people, product and operations management. In her prior role at CA, she was heading the Engineering Services teams at CA India Technology Center, which included Information Services, Globalization, DevOps Tools Services, Accessibility, and Secure Coding Development Practices teams. Nivedita is also an active participant in Women Leaders in CA India forum and Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) Program committees. She has been a GHCI speaker and program chair and is also credited with giving presentations at the STC India Annual conferences. She has co-authored several technical papers for CA Technology Exchange magazine.

Tech Talk: Bracing in the Tsunami of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Heena Raval, Sr. Director – Data Sciences, CA Technologies

Heena leads the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence effort for CA Technologies ITC, working closely with global teams across the company. Heena has over 19 years of industry experience in planning and leading comprehensive product and service vision, design, development and go-to-market. She has successfully led global teams to achieve top company initiatives from idea to execution, delivered multi-generation roadmap while consciously developing a culture of high energy and empathy in her immediate teams and the larger organization. Prior to CA, she was with Microsoft for 11 years, delivering world class, enterprise scale Integration services, Master Data Management services, led consulting & delivery of UX and Quality services for customers. She was instrumental in delivering a ‘AI for the enterprise’ a vision for Microsoft’s internal digital transformation. She delivered an advanced analytics platform for Microsoft Sales & Marketing, creating intelligence from several ML models, to drive efficiencies and intelligent decision making. Before Microsoft, Heena has worked for Larsen & Toubro R&D, General Electric Product Engineering, ABB Corporate Research where she delivered diverse impactful programs across the globe.

Tech Talk 2: Rethinking Old Problems in an AI-enabled World

Aparna Wani, Data Scientist and Program Manager, Microsoft
Aparna works as a Data Scientist with Microsoft and is working on multiple AI and ML enabled solutions some of which are: Predictive forecasting for cloud consumption using HTS frame work for decision making and target planning; Social Data Mining for intent detection – mining the Twitter data to identify prospective buyers/buying intent for Microsoft products; Anomaly detection in workflows – using statistical interpretation and central limit theory. Prior to this, Aparna was working in the areas of Pharmaceutical Global Price/Revenue management including global drug launches and managed market analysis. Aparna holds a masters degree in Statistics from Pune University.

Deepthi Ravula, CEO WE HUB, Government of Telangana

Deepthi Ravula is the CEO of WE HUB, a first-of-its-kind and only state-run platform for Women Entrepreneurs, helping women from diverse backgrounds by providing a soft-landing hub and mentoring them to be successful in their entrepreneurial journey. In her current role as Joint Director for Electronics Promotions (Electronics, Semiconductor and Business) for the State of Telangana, she is responsible for: Promotion of Electronics Manufacturing in the State of Telangana; Key activities to enable MSME and Large scale industries to establish and plan investments in the State of Telangana. Before taking up this role, Deepthi has worked across various roles in the technology industry for 14+ years.
