Shanita Akintonde Jane Fischer Diane Latiker
- Shanita is an Associate Professor and interim Program Director for Culture, Race and Media in The School of Media Arts at Columbia College Chicago. She teaches in the areas of media innovation and diversity and extends her leadership platform to advocate important causes, committees, and organizations that work to bring parity among professional women and under-served minorities. Ms. Akintonde is also a highly-regarded scholar, community activist, and sits on the Board of Governors at the Metropolitan Club & was their past Chair of the Executive Women’s Committee.
- Jane has broad experience in development and commercialization of new medical technologies and products for primary care and specialty channels. Operational roles have spanned domestic and global leadership of high impact, special projects and start-ups in corporations, international and national non-profits, government and academia. As Vice President of Business Development for Serenium Inc., she’s focused on the early, accurate, accessible, inexpensive and clinically validated identification of sleep apnea in children and adults.
- Diane is the mother of eight children, “Ms. Diane” as the children refer to her, is a 29-year resident of the Roseland community. She founded Kids Off The Block, Inc. (KOB) in her home in 2003 to get young people off the streets. Looking at the children that were always at her home, Diane believed that she could make a difference in the community. FIERCE OVER 40 is an action initiative that inspires women 40+ to harness their power and change to the world.
