Delhi-NCRcommunity.AnitaB.org Meetup on May 31 2019

We are delighted to announce the next Delhi-NCRcommunity.AnitaB.org meetup on Friday May 31, 2019.

Ensuring the Delhi-NCR community stays connected and continues to benefit from local AnitaB.org meetups, we have a power packed two hours session planned that will cover the topics:
– Interactive Cloud Computing: an area that is hugely important in today’s times and relevant for all technologists
– Breaking Barriers:lessons from the frontlines

We will also engage with everyone through cloud computing real use cases being demoed at our kiosk presented by Fidelity International, Expedia and IBM.

3:55 – 4:40 pm: Panel discussion on Breaking Barriers by Aparna Vedapuri Singh, Founder and CEO, Women’s Web, Deepika Nangia, Head of Data, Royal Bank of Scotland and Roopali Agrawal, Director of Engineering, Expedia Group.

There will be two shuttle buses from Huda Metro station to Fidelity office campus at 2:10 pm and 2:20 pm on 31 May 2019. Also post the event there is a drop back to Huda Metro station at 6:00 pm. Shuttle buses will be standing outside gate number 1 of Fortis Hospital in the service lane. The buses will have a sign on the back and front mentioning ‘Fidelity’.

Speaker details 

Deepika Nangia

Deepika manages Data Management and Remediation function for the Chief Data Office. Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to this she headed the Risk Change functional for the Investment arm of RBS and was the BCBS239 India Lead. She has worked primarily in the financial services sector with a previous stint at Fidelity International for about a decade where she led many transformation and transition programs. She is passionate about Diversity and Inclusion as a cause and would kike to make a difference through dialogue and engagement.

Roopali Agrawal

Roopali is working as ‘Director of Engineering’ with Expedia Group and is responsible for the flights LOB. She has more than 18 years of experience in building enterprise class greenfield products and teams in start-ups and global corporates across various domains. Her past experience has been with GreyOrange (Robotics), Guavus(Big Data Analytics) and Intuit (Small to medium business) – to name a few. Roopali is a graduate from IIT BHU, 2000 and started her career as a software developer back then. Technology is her first love and she is passionate about empowering women (and men equally) at the workplace. She is a mentor at Cherie Blair foundation and TalkToMe and a core committee member for Delhi-NCRcommunity.AnitaB.org.

Shishir Saxena

Shishir, a Nasscom speaker & W2RT mentor has 20 years of experience and in the last 4 years he ihas focused on continuous architecture, cloud computing, agile philosophy following the product culture. Earlier to that he has worked on different phases of a mini-waterfall or waterfall projects. Shishir as a Associate Director – Technology is currently working as solution architect for ‘Fidelity Wealth Experts’ programme, heading team of developers in multi geo locations. The team is working on the company’s new business product line that has been launched in Germany as the first market and now going global while focusing on API for B2B integration. The product is cloud only and follows microservice and serverless architecture and saw the light of production in less than an year. Prior to this, Shishir worked on an in-house product deployed on PaaS solution. He has also pioneered the Innovation Lab in Fidelity International’s Gurgaon office, which has now matured into Innovation Garage and ventured exploration in areas of Blockchain, Bots, AR, IoT, AI/ML etc. He consulted a start-up ‘Baxi’, as honorary architect which took their product live on AWS in less than two months of funding. In his 9 year tenure at Fidelity International, Shishir has worked in the Investment Management domain and had been Architect on Trading platform and back office applications. Prior to that, he worked for a decade at IBM where he earned patent and publications. Shishir  started his career in the testing profile and he moved on to Maintenance/coding and was BPM/SOA/Integration Architect while working with clients like Bharti, ITC and Amex.
