AnitaB.org Chennai Meetup on February 15, 2019

We are excited to announce the launch of AnitaB.org Chennai. The community will host its first meetup on Friday, 15 February 2019.

AnitaB.org Chennai envisions creating a vibrant community of women technologists in Chennai who will come together to learn, network and get inspired. This will be a platform for finding like minded people, to share  knowledge and stories that will empower each other. We will start the journey with an afternoon of talks from technology leaders and a special networking session.

Gayatri is an agile evangelist and digital coach helping clients in maximizing business value using technology as a strategic lever. Gayatri is a principal consultant with PM Power Consulting providing organization transformation services helping in coaching, training and consulting. She started as a C++ developer in VxWorks OS in routers and has 20+ years of experience in the Software industry performing various roles developer, tech lead, project manager agile coaching and transformation, delivery and transition management, technology consulting and strategic sourcing. She also enables organizations to deepen their mindfulness journey within. Gayatri is also involved in spreading the love of yoga, fitness and environment consciousness.

Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, Chief Evangelist, Zoho for Startups

Kuppulakshmi, fondly known as Kuppu, is the Chief Evangelist for Zoho for Startups. She is a dreamer, a storyteller, and a great communicator at heart, she has fifteen years of expertise in content editing, marketing, soft skills & communication, and product evangelism. She now works closely with the startup world, and focuses on strategic partnerships for Zoho. A fan of ‘explain-it-like-I’m-five’ concept, she helps entrepreneurs understand the value of Zoho’s software applications, works specifically women entrepreneurs and is associated with initiatives that empower women. “What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other.” – a quote by George Eliot is what she strives to live by. Kuppu believes that the best way to live life is to be useful to others, and she strives to find a balance between giving and taking. She is an ambivert, reads a lot of non-fiction, writes, sings, paints, dances, and is also a foodie who can cook. Is a hands-on mom to a super-active 7-year-old, and has plants for pets.

Poorna Vaidyanathan, Engineering Manager, PayPal

Poorna Vaidyanathan is an Engineering Manager with PayPal, with totally 16 years of experience, of which 13+ years are in extensive Payments Platform. Poorna is currently focusing on re-architecting PayPal’s large scale Settlement Platform into a highly available platform with greater throughput. Poorna is highly passionate about Payments, constantly striving to simplify solutions, that would make Payments simpler for everyone.
