AnitaB.org’s “EMpower & I’Mpower” Series presents: Building Inclusion in AI

July 18, 2018 · 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

AI will be the most significant technology ever created by humans. Women, people of color, and other underrepresented groups continue to make up a small fraction of its workforce.

Join a panel of technologists for a discussion of some of the biggest challenges facing artificial intelligence: algorithmic biases, ethics in AI, and explore what is needed to create AI technologies for good. As Alan Kay said, “The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

*Panelists announced soon!*

6:00 PM | Networking (light food & drinks provided)
6:30 PM | Welcome & introductions
6:45 PM | Panel: Building Inclusion in AI
7:15 PM | Q&A
8 PM | Program ends

Our “I’Mpower Volunteer Lead” for this is Hayley Leibson! Thank you!

“EMpower & I’Mpower” Series are meetups that are organized by community members. One individual takes the lead to use their talents and expertise to organize a meetup to educate and connect current and future AnitaB.org’s members. These meetups can be after-work meetings, tech tea time connections, volunteerism or informational workshops. We support individuals who want to empower and inspire one another while being in alignment with our mission.

We believe that one person can make a big difference and we want to empower you to be that one!
